While looking for cute interior design magazines, I came across an interesting read. Otacool Worldwide Otaku Rooms. I doubt many people will find this as interesting as I do but I had to post. I think its amazing seeing how people decorate their homes with their fandom love. I myself am guilty of this. My rooms both at my parents and grandparents are pretty nerdy. My grandma's is a cute paradise with my Cardcaptor Sakura bedding and anime posters. Along with a bunch of hello project posters. The room at my parents is equally as bad with jpop posters (and a thousand more coming) and anime/hello project figures and crap everywhereee! I love it though. I love my room being a paradise of my favorite things. I think its my way of holding on to the past.
I should also mention the cool thing about this magazine is it is written in both English in Japanese in the same issue!
You know your dedicated when you manage to track down not one but two lifesize gundams for your room.
I was pleased to find people more obsessed with posters then myself. I have a feeling I am slowly on my way to putting them on the celing as well.
I thought this room was a good example of how to make your fandom more chic. Where you would find a picture that big I'm not sure. I imagine you could just blow them up from internet sites though?
They also had some hot chicks with cool rooms. I love how its dark with amazing shelves! I want her shelving.
It never astounds me how some otaku can keep things so neatly organized. Its like this guy bought just the right amount of stuff to fit in his room!
It goes without saying of course, collectors spend thousands of dollars to fill up their rooms. This guy spent over a grand in bedding atleast! Anime bedding is like $100.00 a sheet.
This guy must be a millionaire. Seriously. THINK OF HOW MUCH THAT MANGA ALONE COSTS!
