Faze Magazine's ConGRADulations Event
Posted on 23:08 by Unknown
Oh how I love getting dressed up!
I'm sorry about my lack of blogging. My life has been crazy lately and even when I am free my mind isn't. I'm typing this blog from my blackberry on the go train. I'm going to see the wonder girls tonight. The go train can be so peaceful. *note: I showed up so late for the concert I only got to see them do four songs. So pissed!*
One of the most interesting things I've done lately was host the faze magazine conGRADulations event. If you remember my other post, faze is a local teen girl magazine that also throws amazing events. Its not very often teenage girls get to dress up, get out and not worry about boys. If that wasn't enough of an excuse to go there is also the free manicures and makeovers, prizes like bottles of Vera Wang princess and Marc Jacobs daisy and of course performances by some awesome artists. (Marie, Angela and Moi)
Two days before the event me and Imke were asked to be the hosts of this exciting night. I was thrilled to say yes even though I don't think I've ever hosted anything. Does my sweet 16 count? We weren't exactly prepared but when am I not up for making myself look like an idiot in front of big groups? It was however, a little tragic when I was forced to try and come up with games that could be played without the audience members coming on stage. That didn't really happen.
(Imke and myself on stage hosting, my face was so epically stupid here I had to post it) (Interviewing Menew)
The guests who played were Menew ( a super awesome rock band I hadn't heard of but could be the next epic band that tours until their 80) and Danny Fernandas with a special performance by his cousin Tyler. One of the funniest moments of the night was when Imke and me were starting to host charades for prizes (as planned) and this security guard that everyone dubbed snoop dog thanks to his outfit and attitude came out of nowhere and closed the curtains on the people playing. It's so much more interesting when these things happen aha!
Interviewing the artists was great and so was seeing them live. The club was a cute intimate setting and its nice to see local talent. Hosting was a bizarre experience, I loved it and had so much fun with it though! AND OH MY GOD, I GOT THE MOST AMAZING THANK YOU GOODIE BAG! It's getting its own post it's so great.

Latest buys and a cute dog pic
Posted on 11:06 by Unknown
I love watching TV shows all at once, I just started True Blood and its seriously messing with my sleeping.
Yesterday I got my hair done at Trends hair in Mississauga. Seriously, I will not trust anyone else with my hair. I love them to death. I'll post pics asap!
For now I thought I'd show you some of my latest awesome purchases! Sadly, I don't think I'll ever have money again.
So this has to be my weirdest purchase ever. What do you do on sundays when you need to shop at 8 PM? GO TO WALMART! Of course their clothing selection isn't exactly ideal but get creative and you can score. I somehow decided to look in the kids section for clothes and I found primp capri pants for 12 bucks! Who knew they were doing something for Walmart?! Not only that but I love how they fit! They could have a bit more booty room but at least there not wayyy overly baggy capris like most. I love them. I think I'm just going to start shopping at kids stores, its cheaper and the stuff can be way cuter. I went into Abercrombie kids and it felt like I had walked into Liz Lisa with some of the stuff in there. Totally weird.
I also picked up these boots at forever 21 and two headbands because accessories can make you love your current clothes so much more.
I also found this Pixie eyeshadow pallete at Winners. I picked it up becuase I've always wanted to try out something from that brand. I really like it! I wish they had somewhere in Canada that was actually carrying the line.
And I just had to include this picture of a dog sleeping at the petstore! HOW IS THIS COMFORTABLE?!

The Makeup World Post
Posted on 09:48 by Unknown
My makeup artist friend Danielle wrote a fabulous article on hygiene for any aspiring MUA. I'd reccomend this read to anyone who loves makeup, especially those who like to do their friends makeup on nights out. She just began writing her blog but shes off to a great start! I can't wait to see more from her.
My skin tip of the day is just another reason to take your vitamins. Omega fatty acid supplements are great for dry or acne prone skin. Be sure to take your flax seed, fish oil, or borage! Cod liver oil is amazing for nail growth as well.
I'm dying to try out Too Faced Absolutely Flawless concealer . I'm hearing such great reviews on it.. but then again I've never actually found a concealer that lives up to the hype.
And finally, how stunning does Nars fall collection look? Oh if only I had irresponsible amounts of money to spend on makeup!
What products have you been loving lately?

Cheerleading Post
Posted on 20:33 by Unknown
I'm completely set on at least getting a backhand spring. Regardless of what my cheer life leads to, I just want to know I could do it. I've really started working on building muscle this week. I am crazy weak! It's been a huge pain. I wish I could find some actual motivated cheer friends to come work out with me. Oh and I bought a trampoline! I'm actually terrified to practice my back handsprings alone but whatever. A girls gotta do what a girls gotta do right?
Anyways, I decided this blog needed to know whats going on in the cheer world
First we have a video making the rounds of the internet of a rather flamboyant cheerleader. He's freaking awesome. The reason hes gaining so much interest is that he reminds people of the gay guy from mean girls. This guy deserves credit, he's putting so much energy into the routine while some of the girls around him look like they hate life. The best part of the video however is totally the user comments like "you go glen coco".
In other cheer news, there is a lawsuit going on arguing if cheerleading is an actual sport.
and finally! My cheer tip of the post! If trying to get a back hand spring or walkover, seriously work on holding your back arches! I'm finding a huge difference.

Calvin Klien Remaking White Dress from Clueless
Posted on 12:01 by Unknown
Clueless is basically my life in a movie. Oh how i love the outfits, I've always dressed like Cher. I've been wearing thigh high socks with everything before I even saw the movie. I think I first saw it when I was 13.
If you've seen Clueless, I'm sure you remember the famous scene where Cher comes down the stairs to meet her date. When he father sees her, he asks ’Cher, what are you wearing?’ ‘A dress!’ she replies. ‘Says who?’ he yells ‘Calvin Klein!". When he tells her it "Looks like underwear to me. Go put one something over it!" she throws on a white see through shirt. Awesome. I've had this conversation with my Grandparents like, everyday of my life.
Well stylist turned co owner of L.A. boutique Confederacy, Ilaria Urbinati has convinced Calvin Klein to remake the famous dress! Sadly, it really does look like underwear. Underwear that costs $916.00. Also it's only available in sizes 2, 4 and 6. If your small enough and can afford a $916.00 tank top dress, good news! They also are selling it in red! Link.
I'm not gonna lie if I could get this I probably would. Just becuase of the Clueless factor. When are they going to remake Cher's red Alaia dress is the real question though! I love how Clueless keeps popping up lately with stuff like the video game that came out. This movie needs to live on forever!
If you could have an outfit from any movie what outfit would you pick? I don't think I could possibly choose!
