One of the fashion worlds secret overlooked influenced has defiantly got to be wrestlers. You might not agree with me at first, but the more you think about it the more it makes sense. First of all there hot, have amazing bodies and get to wear the most insane, flashy outfits only the daringest of fashionistas such as Lady Gaga and Beyonce are brave enough to wear. There signature shiny leotards are seen all over Hollywood lately (and on London Streets thanks to Miss Gaga). Perhaps wrestling has influenced our closets at home? Lady Gaga must be drawing some of her inspiration from them, she's even been rocking lighting bolts of makeup on her cheeks, which has totally been a wrestler fad. Then there is the obvious, her name would fit perfectly as one. Obviously though, in a celeb wrestling match Beyonce would kick everyones butt. I'm sensing a reality show concept here? Wrestling with the stars? It sure would be a lot more entertaining!
Here are my picks for wardrobe, which are now a closet necessity for any fashionista out there. I'm sure half of you already have some of this stuff as American apparel seems to rule every ones closets lately. Which I find funny as the place is a spandex haven almost dedicated to wrestling-escq performance wear. I suggest wearing them (not all at once please.) and going out with your friends to see the new movie, The Wrestler . It won two golden globes and has gotten great reviews. Make sure you strut your stuff in crazy outfits like this though, confidence is key in pulling off a great outfit. Or you know, you could just do a crazy facebook photo shoot with a friend in it.
