Amazing Otaku Rooms

Posted on 21:59 by Unknown
While looking for cute interior design magazines, I came across an interesting read. Otacool Worldwide Otaku Rooms. I doubt many people will find this as interesting as I do but I had to post. I think its amazing seeing how people decorate their homes with their fandom love. I myself am guilty of this. My rooms both at my parents and grandparents are pretty nerdy. My grandma's is a cute paradise with my Cardcaptor Sakura bedding and anime posters. Along with a bunch of hello project posters. The room at my parents is equally as bad with jpop posters (and a thousand more coming) and anime/hello project figures and crap everywhereee! I love it though. I love my room being a paradise of my favorite things. I think its my way of holding on to the past.

I should also mention the cool thing about this magazine is it is written in both English in Japanese in the same issue!

You know your dedicated when you manage to track down not one but two lifesize gundams for your room.

I was pleased to find people more obsessed with posters then myself. I have a feeling I am slowly on my way to putting them on the celing as well.

I thought this room was a good example of how to make your fandom more chic. Where you would find a picture that big I'm not sure. I imagine you could just blow them up from internet sites though?

They also had some hot chicks with cool rooms. I love how its dark with amazing shelves! I want her shelving.

It never astounds me how some otaku can keep things so neatly organized. Its like this guy bought just the right amount of stuff to fit in his room!

It goes without saying of course, collectors spend thousands of dollars to fill up their rooms. This guy spent over a grand in bedding atleast! Anime bedding is like $100.00 a sheet.

This guy must be a millionaire. Seriously. THINK OF HOW MUCH THAT MANGA ALONE COSTS!

To check out the whole magazine online you can find it here!

Tsuji Nozomi with short hair

Posted on 16:04 by Unknown
I was totally shocked to see pictures of Tsuji Nozomi with short hair! Mama Nono looks cute as always promoting her mothers day flower arrangements. To be honest, I totally want to see her with her hair down for once! She looks cute with this style though but not many people could pull this one off!

G-dragon Feat Flo Rida Heartbreaker

Posted on 22:42 by Unknown
So I guess instead of suing the hell out of each other they decided to do a song together. Cool. Flo-Rida is totally down with the koreans. I've grown to love G-Dragon and I like the original heartbreaker better!

Deco Spam + Cheap Deco how to idea

Posted on 14:47 by Unknown
I really still need to get around to doing my camera and putting a bit more on my phone but for now I thought I would just inspire everyone else to go deco!

I can't imagine how much this would have cost to make, let alone the time it would have taken. Its totally insane.

This PSP is kinda a bit crazy but its still pretty cool. I like how they added a lock and key.

I love how they added lace to this mirror! Its a good way to save money on materials aha. Plus the deco bow is so cute.

Carebear deco is just so amazing. Its like a better version of a rainbow.

This totally is on the list of best calculators out there.

I love how they used studs on these headphones! I totally want to do that with something now! It looks so hot!
I love the simplicity of this phone.

Another simple cute phone! Great way to save money and still look hot.

This mirror is amazing! Love the use of big rhinestones with the zebra print.

Cute simple container I think. I want to be able to make star shaped macarons!

I love how cute this container is. The ice cream is made so well. I also like the use of beads and pearls instead of rhinestones.

NEEEED!!!

I've also added a great and cheap deco idea! This tutorial shows how to use sequins in place of rhinestones. Its a great way to be unique and save money. (click for the full photo)

Historic Fiction You Have To Read

Posted on 21:46 by Unknown
Its hard to imagine underneath my pink anime exterior theirs a history and book nerd. Especially with my failing grades and terrible spelling. Ironically, I was the first one in my class reading actual novels and I haven't really put them down since. When I was about 7, I came across the Royal Diaries series. The series focuses on the adolescent lives of the great women of history. I would highly recommend it to any young reader. I became obsessed. It was fascinating to learn about all these different women. It was also extremely scary. While everyone else was reading about magically princesses, I was reading about the death and hardships they faced. Marie Antoinette and Cleopatra among others have always been topics of interest to me. Powerful and beautiful women are just so intriguing.

At about 13, I moved into the world of adult novels. Phillipa Gregory has since become one of my favorite authors. She is best known as the author of "The Other Boleyn Girl". Once reading that book I was hooked though. I love how she has written a book on almost every love interest of Kind Henry to get each of their stories. I can't imagine how she does it.Her books are a staple in historic fiction. As for another standout author, I can't explain my love for Sandra Gulland. I picked up the Josephine B Trilogy up without even really looking at it. When I eventually started reading it out of bordem, I was beyond fascinated. Honestly, I didn't even know who Josephine B was before I started reading it. (She was Napoleon's Wife) After reading this story I can't explain how much I admire her. Gulland did some amazing research though, even seeing a psychic to try and get to know everything about Josephine. It is friggen amazing and you have to read it.

Right after my trip to Tokyo I plan on saving for France.
Jesus Diamante tea party's at Versailles sound amazing, do they not?

Ageha Hair Inspiration!

Posted on 17:21 by Unknown
Just thought I would post some of the amazing hair styles from Ageha's march issue. I wish western magazines were a bit creative. Ageha always has something that will inspire you!

How cute of an updo would this be for a prom? I want to try this for something! but I rarely wear my hair up.
It took me forever to realize she has some of her longer hair pinned up somehow (I think?) but I so want to attempt this!

Music News!

Posted on 11:04 by Unknown
So you know how I am always in turmoil over the fact producers take forever to do something, are all talk and start something and then can never find the time to finish? Well finally I can do something about it! I CAN PAY THEM! Well its kinda complicated and I don't understand much of it but I got a Factor (goverment) grant to make a professional demo! I get like a bit under $2000 to make two songs. I totally don't know details and such but this hopefully means I should for sure get something done soon! I honestly don't know what style of music I want to do with the money through... pressure!

The Last Few Days

Posted on 15:49 by Unknown
The weather this week has been amazing! Its been warmer here in Toronto then it has been in Florida. Sadly it was rather cold today though. On Thursday I had my friend over who I have known longer then most Amanda! We hadn't seen each other forever. The second she came over though she locked her keys in her car. We spent the first hour trying to break into her car, something neither of us is skilled in. Honestly, its one of the most annoying things to try and do in the world. We eventually gave up and had to call a car dude to do it for us. Sigh, my money is gone yet again! Then we headed to the mall with an hour before it closed but it wasn't bad. SEPHORA HAD UNOFFICALLY OPENED THAT NIGHT
(Amanda and myself)
Before Amanda left the next day we took some photos in the amazing weather. I was wearing a mini skirt and flip flops. I want to go the beach. Later my boyfriend came over and suprised me with some gifts! Not only did my MAR*S skirt from Mitsu at Universal Doll come in (pics soon) but he got me some gifts off straypa!

The first is a deco glue he bought because it came with tweezers (fail) but will be fun to test out, the second is a deco glue that makes a pearly base and you can apparently peel it off? I'm really excited to try this one out becuase it would be good to do my camera with. I'm worried about decoing my camera and screwing up my warrenty so maybe I could just pull it off with this and have a pretty base. The last is a MOMOERI PHONE STRAP. YEAHHH MOMOERI LOVE!! <3 I don't think I'm going to put it on my phone though as its already so blinged out and I love just having it all Tsuji Nozomi themed! Maybe my camera can have a sick charm aha. I also got my hair done and my roots are all pretty and white. I wish it didn't cost $150.00 for roots, toner and a blowdry without a cut! FML. My ghetto dye jobs will obviously be back.
I'm going to go debate opening my Urban Decay Pallette now.. SO TEMPTING!

Get the Look Here : Cowgirl

Posted on 21:28 by Unknown
As we are all a little tempted to add a little western flair in our summer wardrobes to stay in style, I thought I would post some cheap easy to buy alternatives! You can thank popteen for the inspiration on this post!

Cowgirl boots from Urban Original $24.80

Flower Blouse *would look cute tucked in a puffy skirt* from Go Jane $17.30

Denim skirt from Forever 21 $15.80. This would be cute with a light petticoat under it!

The forever 21 in Canada better have this! This is totally Liz Lisa like for a fraction of the price *when you consider how much it costs to get things from japan!* I think this would be so cute with a cardigan! $29.80

The best advice I can offer for when shopping for this season is too realize this look is going to get dated fast. Even if you love a look, consider how wearable it could be this time next year and the price. Light denim looks tend to look seriously dated fast!

L'Oreal Lash Boosting Serum Review

Posted on 20:32 by Unknown
I was excited to receive a pretty gold box in the mail. Clearly from L'Oreal I couldn't wait to see what was inside!

L'Oreal generously sent me their newest eyelash innovation to try out! I received three of their lash boosting serums, a booklet on how it works and a USB flash drive on more information! Pretty impressive marketing. I seriously can't get over the amazingness of the box.

I was excited to try the product out. I think it should be a good replacement for Ardell's lash growth product that is no longer for sale. The only thing that makes me a bit sad is that this product doesn't claim to grow lashes. I'm glad they don't promise it will do something it wont but I wish the product helped with that.

The formula itself contains Centella Asiatica Extract and Arginine to condition and protect lashes. For best results you should apply it in the day before mascara and at night before you go to bed. The applicator want is really cool! It's a plastic curved piece of plastic designed to treat the lashline and get your eyelashes from root to top. Its nice being able to just swipe the product over your eyes and not comb it through like you have to with a mascara wand.

Reviewing a product like this is hard because your not going to notice a MASSIVE difference. I've only used this for a few days but I'll tell you what I do like about it! When using it before mascara i find it really helps separate lashes. It doesn't weight them down, just helps mascara go on smooth. This product is a good choice to use under heavy duty mascaras like L'Oreals beauty tubes. That stuff is pretty harsh on your eyelashes, so any protection is good protection I think!

Overall its an interesting product! I'm happy to see the beauty world catering to the importance of healthy lashes!
