Twilight beauty presale and website launch tonight only!

Posted on 21:13 by Unknown

Again, I'm not the bigged Twilight fan. Liked the books not so much the movie but I was very excited to see the high end makeup line they were launching. The line was launched by three respected makeup industry women and I expected a lot more from it then what I see on the site. I was shocked by the lack of foundations, concealors, powders, blushes and eyeliners which you would think would be something they would have made! I feel like the majority of the products are geared towards older makeup junkies (the makeup palates especially) and not the typical products I see most twihards wearing (the massive liquid liner over crazy intense eyeshadow)

The one thing I am interested in though is the pigments for only $9.00. Sadly, they are not shipping to Canada for the pre-sale from what I saw. Does this mean they never will?
www.twilightbeauty.com

If you are interested in ordering from the presale you better hurry up as it only lasts until tomorrow.
How about you? What are your thoughts on the collection from the site?

Best affordable leave ins for dry, damaged hair

Posted on 12:11 by Unknown
I'm back with more of my damaged, dry hair care series and today I'm going to tell you guys about my favorite leave in conditioner type products that wont break the bank! Note that I use these before a shine serum to try and seal in the moisture.

Cholesterol (sounds gross, huh?)
First up is a product many people would never look at or think of. For 1.79!! (and cheaper with a sallys card!) this is one of the most versatile products for someone in a war with their very over processed hair.

From the site: Proclaim Cream Cholesterol reduces combing friction, brittleness and loss of damaged hair.
  • For really dull and lifeless hair.
  • Specially formulated with aloe vera.
  • Moisturizes with an extra rich formula.
  • Leaves hair soft and smooth.
This special formula contains Aloe Vera for extra moisture and shine. Strengthens hair to reduce breakage and treat split ends. This is an extra rich formula that will bathe your hair with essential moisture properties and leave you with soft, combable hair that shines.
Why it is an amazing product: This product is amazing because it puts back the moisture and things in your hair that a drugstore treatment never will. This is for severly damaged hair and when used out of the shower it can make hair greasy if you use too much. Keep in mind though, I had to use A LOT of this on my bangs when they were damaged and brittle beyond repair and I was happy to have something to weigh it down with!

How to use: I recommend using this in the shower for a few minuets before a conditioner with lots of silicone (like the ones I previously reviewed). That way you'll be getting instantly luscious hair and actually repairing it at the same time! It is also good to use a bit of this on your hair once you get out of the shower too eliminate fizz and keep hair moisturized. Lastly, you can also use this as a styling product when you need to weigh down your hair!

Pantene Nature Fusion Smooth Vitality Smoothing Creme

I purchased this product on sale for around $4.99. Although it claims to be a creme, I really look at it as more of a leave on conditioner. The reason I choose this as one of my favorite affordable leave in's is because it reminds me so much of my favorite more expensive leave in AG's Fastfood. This formula puts back the softness and smoothness you loose when washing conditioner out of your hair and is extremely light weight. This is definitely great for anyone who is looking for soft hair, not just for people with damaged hair!

Please tell me if these products work for you too in the comments!

My favourite affordable quick fix conditioners for Dry, Frizzy, Course and Damaged hair !!

Posted on 15:05 by Unknown
Hair care can be very expensive for those of us who are not gifted with luscious, silky locks or for the ones who damaged the life out of them! It's bad enough we have to spend hundreds on a quality straightener to tame our hair.
Here is a list of what is quite possibly the ONLY drugstore conditioners I can even use in my hair. They are thick and intensively moisturizing which is exactly what curley, frizzy, wavy, course and/or damaged hair needs!

Somethings to keep in mind....
-Conditioners and shine serums targeted towards black people are VERY good products for what you need and most often very affordable and avalible in drug stores
-Also look any products with Olive oil as they are great.

The best for price and smoothness goes too..

Aussie's 3 minuet miracle is really great. Its not the best for long term repair but for instant softness this is the go to conditioner. Not to mention its only around $3.00 for a bottle! I love
this stuff because I don't have to worry about using a lot of it and it is just so great!

Another alternative to the Aussie 3 minuet miracle treatment is the Pantene Pro-V Fortifying Treatment. A bit more money then the Aussie treatment but still has the same great benefits. I would reccomend switcing between these two so your hair doesn't get completly used to one.

Overall, I find these two conditioners much better then the majority of expensive salon treatments and masks.

Coming up I'm going to do my recommendations for hair serums, the best conditioners/treatments for really getting your hair back to being healthy overtime and my all time favorite basically Holy Grail material treatment.

Post your favorite conditioners in the comments!

Tips for curly hair/damaged hair and plaitnum blondes

Posted on 18:47 by Unknown
The blogging world is full of an exciting land of makeup reviews and advice but it makes me wonder why the world of hair hasn't caught on yet? As important as your face looking lovely is, if your hair is a total mess then no ones even going to look at it! I've decided after years of struggle, I'm going to attempt to do more posts to help the women suffering through damaged and/or frizzy ,thick dry hair.

My hair has ALWAYS frustrated me, every since grade four I've wanted pure platinum blonde, long hair. I killed it by bleaching my course, thick but strong hair hundreds of times now. I'm lucky that my hair is as strong as it is though. I think one of the biggest problems with people who have curly hair is that their just isn't enough information on how to maintain it out their. Not everyone with curly hair is able to just scruntch their hair with some mousse and have perfect curls. One thing alot of people with curly hair also don't realize is that the size and shapes of the curls can be completely different on sections of the head. I've noticed with my hair that the lower half of my hair is really small and wavy curls while the top is more frizzier and not as curly.

I'm going to start by helping you guys out with some hair Myths and crutal tips I've picked up over the last few years.

- Trimming your ends does NOT make your hair grow longer. It just helps it from getting more damaged but you still need to do this if you want your hair to grow healthy.

-Blow drying your hair straight is much more damaging then straightening it. This is becuase the tugging force from the brush causes much more breakage.

-Hair care is like skincare, their are different types and nothing will work for everyone.

-If your bleaching your hair blonde, you really need to keep up on your routes every 2-4 weeks to prevent futher damage. This is becuase hair at the roots bleaches faster then other hair from your body heat and will cause less damage the closer it is to the bleach. That also means right at the root will be lighter then the other half of your roots so bleach it quick!

I'm going to post some hair product reviews asap! Please post your favorite hair tips in the comments as well as any of your favourite hair care blogs! I want to find some good ones!

New find for deco parts!

Posted on 15:29 by Unknown
I just wanted to share with everyone another place I've found for deco parts. Its hard to tell exactly what they offer from the small pictures but Sasa.com seems to have some good deco kits for sale.

For $7.50 USD Sasa.com offers a cheaper alternative to Strapya's kits which are more then double the price. I defiantly want to try some of them out! I wish you could tell what exactly was in them though.

Don't bother buying the individual peices off them. They are selling 3 lollipops for $5.00 which is insanely over priced.

Anyways check out the site for sure deco lovers!

The All Natural Face product reviews - vegan makeup

Posted on 13:53 by Unknown
I stumbled upon a message board praising the deals and good customer service offered by etsy seller theallnaturalface and had to order some to try it out. I haven't tried out a vegan makeup line before so it was another cool change. It seems this seller does most of their buisness in samples becuase she offers so many of them for a great price. I got something like 40 shadow samples, a full size eyeshadow/liner sealer, a bunch of foundation samples and blush and bronzer samples for $10.00 with $1.25 shipping to Canada. Considering that other people charge $5.00 for five eyeshadow samples of the same size this is a great deal. It also helps that the seller usually always thows in some freebie samples and helpful extras like mini brushes that reach well into the pigment samples.

(From left to right- liner/shadow sealant, foundation samples with mini kabuki, eyeshadow samples, blush samples, bronzer samples. Above is extra samples she included)

As for my reviews lets start off with the liner/shadow sealant. I didn't go for the primer on the site as I read all negative reviews of it. The liner/shadow sealant claims too be a natural alternative to keeping your eyeshadow and eyeliner smudge proof and in place all day. It also claims to give your eyeshadow a foiled look.

When I received the product I thought you just put it over the eyeshadow, which just ended up making the shadows staying power worse and automatically faded. So its kind of a bummer that you can't use it that way. To use it properly you dip your bush in it before the shadow which can get a bit messy. The one thing I'm unsure about is how watery it feels, it's almost feels like I'm just using water.

Pro's
-Makes the pigment look more dark and intense (but water could do this too?)
-Price- it was really cheap
-All natural
-Sanitary bottle

Con's
-Just like using water
-Doesn't help the smudging much
-A bit messy

The eyeshadow pigments samples

Here's the part I'm confused about, part of me wants to hate them but the price is just too good. Personally, I'm used to pigments that have intense sparkle and shine. These are pretty neutral and matte, which is a big change for me but would easily be favored by the more mature consumer. In a sense, I don't mind having some matte pigments because now I have a bunch of colors I would have never bought alone. Another Obvious great thing about them is you can get so many shades for such a small price. It's great for anyone who likes makeup to experiment with, you'll never feel like you don't have a colour. The worst part of these shadows is I find the pigment is just not strong enough to use on most colors dry and you NEED to use it with the sealent or atleast with a wet brush to get a noticeable color. The samples are enough to use more then a few times if used wet so don't worry about them being gone too fast.

(All of the shadow samples I got)

Pro's
-Tons for the price
-All natural
-Great for a makeup artist or someone who wants a lot of colors on hand to experiment with

Con's
-Used alone they aren't the best colour

As for the foundations I haven't had much of a chance to try them out but from trying them on my wrist I noticed at first they are a bit chalky but get better over time and do do a good job at neutralizing the discolorations.
(The 15 foundation samples)

(The extra freebies)
(Blush samples)
(Bronzer samples)

Overall I think this lines worth trying out! Who doesn't love getting things in the mail?

Ebay hauls

Posted on 19:07 by Unknown
Some of the random cheap stuff I got on ebay came in!

First was the most exciting, my 2NE1 cd! This is honestly the best cd I've listend to in years. KPop music is just so great right now and 2ne1 is the best of them all. The case itself isnt even a case, its more of a container but its pretty cool!

The cd insert was awesome! It has really great pictures.

I love, love how shiny it is, I hope my album covers flashy and awesome like that.

Next was my Hello Project Petit Best 4. It was really cheap on ebay and has a ton of my favorite hello project songs. I kinda wish I had bought the singles though because they come with the karaoke versions and the cd doesn't.

It came with a door hanger. More hello project love for my room!
Next was a box of fake eyelashes I got for really cheap, they seem pretty bad quality but I wont care if they go on fine. I hate how expensive eyelashes are here, six dollars is way to much to spend every time you want to go out and look hot!

They came in a ghetto box with japanese eyelid glue (it can also be used for lashes but its a much lighter formula then duo). So weird. It has latex so I can't use it. Just more crap I now need to try and get rid of!

And finally I got the first two peach girl mangas becuase I miss reading manga!

Sorry for lack of posts, I've been really struggeling with this stomache disease I have and I'm defiantly having a hard patch in life. Its funny how hard it is to remember things pass when your going through a hard time.

More Deco Projects! Flip Video Camer

Posted on 23:33 by Unknown
I had tried randomly putting rhinestones on my ugly flip video camera before but it was looking like such a mess anything would look better then how I had it! I'm not done the back yet but here's what I did! I partially used a deco sticker but I have to warn thoes who think deco stickers are just going to look great, they wont! Once you cut it apart it really looks odd and lets face it theirs not many things that will perfectly fit to the size you want. I think it turned out okay though! What do you guys think?

I haven't started the back yet but I'm sure I'll get around to it!
I think I'm going to try and sell my flip on ebay soon though.

Princess style makeup case

Posted on 20:06 by Unknown
Sorry I've been lacking in posts, I've been practicing a lot of singing and dancing and talking to Jo.
I wanted to share with you guys the makeup case I decorated. Inspired by Hina's princess style designs. Her stuff is truly amazing, she always is dressed like a princess and decorates furniture, shoes and whatever you can think of princess style.

I totally feel like its lacking something but i cant think of what to add. I feel like everything I can think of adding will be too tacky, if you have any ideas tell me!

Racy Gossip Girl photos for elle! Chuck and Blair OMG!

Posted on 14:37 by Unknown

Check out this shot of Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester for Elle.
He totally has his hand on her crotch, which happens to only be slightly covered by tights.
I kinda like it though, scandal is awesome when it involves my favorite TV couple. Ed is my absoulte crush (except for the part he seems like a douche in real life) and I see a lot of myself in Blair for better or for worse. Wear black more Ed! I'd also love to see Leighton wearing dark red lipsticks more often.

P.S boys do not attempt leather pants because you are NOT Chuck and will never be him!

My nails ispiried by Nail up!

Posted on 13:08 by Unknown
So I love nail art and when the power went out I thought for some reason it would be a good idea to try and do them with minimal to no light. This is mostly from reading Nail up! all night! Japanese nail art is amazing, I envy their nail salons. It didn't turn out the best too because I painted over 2 week old acrylics. The worst thing about nail art is the fumes can make my throat KILL for days in a very alarming way and the last thing I need is to damage my voice for singing. Anyways! Here's my nails!

Show me your nail art! I want to see!
And remeber to enter my contest to win a FREE HARAJUKU LOVERS SET WORTH OVER $200.00!

Deco for beggingers - How to make clay sweets and icing

Deco for beggingers - How to make clay sweets and icing

Alright lovers! Today I tried myself to make some clay deco parts for the first time. The problem with deco is it can be a little hard to start with as you have to do alot of research to figure out how to start! Hopefully I can help you with that!

First off, theirs more then one type of deco. The word deco applies for things covered in rhinestones and things covered in icing and sweets. Deco-den means cell phone decoration (denwa is phone). It's also worth noting that Deco is huge in Japan and they even have places to go get your cell phone deco-ed the way you want. It is rather pricy though!

Today I'm going to cover the basics of how to make a deco peice with sweets and icing.

The Decoden community on livejournal is probly the best resource for English deco-den makers. One extremly helpful user made a tutorial on the basic's of sweets deco here. It saves me alot of explaning!

So besides the handmade clay sweets, plastic parts are a big part of decoing.
The best places to get parts are on Etsy. If you search the word cabochons you should get alot of results. It's worth noting that they make even smaller cabochons that look the same for nail art so check the measurements to know what your getting!

I also wanted to cover how to make some other sweets I found in Deco mags! Sorry for whoever scanned them, a friend sent me them so I don't know who you are to give you credit!

How to make clay cake rolls and strawberrys
Click the photos for the full sizes.

Photobucket

How to make Pancakes

Photobucket

How to make pocky and banana rolls

Also heres a really cool tutorial on how to make a textured mini cake or cake peices. Link

I will post more for sure! Please post your deco tips in the comments aswell and I will add them and credit you! I'll show you guys some of the stuff I've made asap! Show me yours too!

Latex free eyelash glue found!!!

Posted on 19:07 by Unknown
Oh I am so excited for this post! I've spent the last few months looking for latex free eyelash glue as I think I must be alergic. When I use it my eyes get all red and puffy for a few days and it is NOT pretty! I love fake eyelashes and their a total must for anyone into Japanese fashion. I searched for hours online and everyone told me Lashtite by Ardelle is the only latex free eyelash glue out their. The problem is though its made for individual lashes and meant to last a few weeks.

So after going down that road I was still looking for a eyelash glue. Then I had the idea that double eyelid glue would work and it does! I only know that the clear one has no latex though so buy this kind if your going to.I got it off ebay. I found that it holds pretty good but its deffinatly not as strong of a hold as a regular eyelash glue.

Then a few days after I actually found a latex and formaldehyde free eyelash glue by Canadain brand Quo. Its great becuase it holds amazing and is fine on senstive eyes!
I'm so beyond happy! I put it on ebay for any person in the states or wherever else that cant get it can so BUY IT HERE!

Wuthering Heights ruined by Twilight

Posted on 11:47 by Unknown
This year I went through a Wuthering Heights obsession. It's rare I come across a heartbreaking epic love story I can relate to and this one was amazing. My obsession started when I watched the masterpiece theather version of Wuthering Heights on TV with my mom, from then on I was hooked. I tried reading the book (which is not an easy read) for my summative for my English class and got a pretty good grade on it. I also had some tragic, surreal epic coincidence with this story!

Anyways, Twilight has found a way to ruin that. HarperTeen is releasing a version of Wuthering Heights with the word "Bella and Edwards favourite book". Okay, I get that Twilight is a love story with issues like Wuthering Heights but didn't Twilight end a hell of a lot happier? 4TNZ made a gallery of what other novels would look like "Twilightized"

Leave it to Twilight to emo-fiy classic novels.

Recent Purchases + Reviews! on Kaleidoscope blue bleach, pantene nature fusion, latex free eyelash glue

Posted on 19:47 by Unknown

1. Disney sing it game- WORST GAME EVER. This thing literly lags when you sing. Besides making your vocals sound like crap, its transfers your voice to the tv like two seconds behind so no matter what it just sounds off. I've never been so pissed off at a game in my life.
2. Panetene Fortifying Treatment- So far I'm really liking this, Its a great cheaper treatment to have. I also got it on sale which helps.
3. Wella toner in some colour.. I haven't used this yet and I'm scared too as toner can screw you hair up so bad if you use the wrong one! Wish me luck!
4. 30 volume devolper to use with bleach.
5. Kaleidoscop blue toner bleach- A bleach with a built in toner, at first I wasn't so convinced this was that great but I deffinatly see a difference between regular salon brand bleach now. You have to purchase with devolper from Sallys and mix it. This works much, much better then box colour becuase it's stronger. If your bleaching your hair blonde from home I deffinatly reccomend this. Some are scared too to try profesional products because box colour seems less risky, but the truth is this is going to give better results when it comes to lifting colour and will cause less damage to hair then applying a few boxes of drugstore brands. It really does help to remove the gold when bleaching, the line offers other types of bleach but I think this is the highest lift. Make sure to leave it on long enough and you should get a light blonde colour on first try. You can purchase this from Sally's and if you need more then three packs its worth getting a Sally's card and buying the bigger tub of it for the same price. I'm not sure how many applications are in the tub but I'm sure its a much better deal. I also love having bleach at home for whenever I need a touchup.
6. Glue sticks-I LOVE GLUEGUNS
7. Pantene Nature Fusion Smoothing Creme- I was expecting this to be more of a serum but it reminds me more of a leave in conditioner. It's almost like a less moisturizing version of AG fastfood but better with frizz. I don't mind this stuff as I think it really made my curls look alot better. I got this on sale also and I have to say this a pretty good drugstore product for frizz/moisture. One negative is it doesn't provide any shine. If you have thick hair like me I'd still reccomend using it with a serum.
8.Koji eye glue- Okay I know, wtf your not asain and have double eyelids BUT I CAN'T USE EYELASH GLUE! I think the latex in the eyelash glue is what causes a bad reaction. This was literaly the only alternative I could think of for a Latex free glue. I looked everywhere. Wish me luck on this as it's my last hope AND I WANT LASHES

This coat could look SO HOT. Not only in a EGL style but as a Britney Spears circus type outfit. I need. ALBUM COVER MATERIAL! (If it looks good on!)

And finally these are totally adoreable and super needed. I love black thigh highs and the crowns on the side are just adoreable! They look ALOT cuter in white but I find black is easier to wear.

Beauty Ticket Discount Make up Web store

Posted on 15:51 by Unknown
Discount beauty websites are popping up everywhere and Beauty Ticket is one of the better. Really, who wants to pay full price for products anymore? With high end brands like Yves Saint Laurent, Smashbox, Nina Ricci, Truco and popular nail polish brand China Glaze this site has some pretty great sales. Here are some of my wants and favourite picks from the site.

I wanted this Toki Doki blush like you would not beleive when it came out! I STILL DO! It's regular price was $48.00 and is selling for $17.00 on the site. Click.
Nina Ricci totally isn't sold here but I'm deffinatly interested in trying out the brand. This pretty shade of lipstick is called Rose Pensif. Was retailing for $28.00 and is selling on the site for $5.99! Click

One of my favourite nail polish colours which happens to be a huge hit in the makeup community is China Glaze colour "For Audrey". Inspired by Breakfast at Tiffanys I had to have it. Was $8.00 is retailing for $3.99 here. Note that they do sell this at Sallys for around the same price.

Posted on 14:38 by Unknown
Eki at a little bit of Eki was nice enough to translate a gyaru makeup tutorial!
Translated from the magazine Ranzuki.
Their technique is pretty awesome, it involves tweezers. I would have never thought of this myself! I can't wait to try it out!
Eki is amazing and has translated quite a few tutorials. I'd recommend checking her blog for sure.

Ayumi Hamasaki New music video Sunrise -love is all- Pv

Posted on 22:58 by Unknown
I had to post this PV. I hadn't watched an Ayu PV forever but I saw this and thought it was really cool. The whole stage/concept of where shes performing is just so awesome and creative. It looks so summery and nice where she is, unlike the terrible Toronto weather this year. I'm also in love with the boots, I think if someone can make platform boots come back instyle its Ayu.

On other jpop news Melody and Miyavi named their daughter Lovlie. Also the world cosplay summit is going on, so I think I might be checking that dorkiness out online. I miss cosplaying! I always wanted to participate in it someday if I ever got good but a. they don't have canada as a countrie so screw you. b. alot of times cosplayers only get picked becuase their models and c. its been known to be rigged.
Oh well goodluck to everyone in it! I can't wait to hear the juicy gossip cosplayers always have from it. Oh to be young again. *sigh*

Funnny dog pictures

Posted on 21:05 by Unknown
As I'm looking through my computer I decided I had to post some of these dog photos. Their just too great lmao. My dog's name is Neko, which is a pretty awesome name for a dog (cat in japanese). He's absoulty insane and convinced he's human. My parents are so obessed with this dog its unexplainable.

He doesn't look like himselv here, too fluffy?

My mom walks and sometime watches this ten year old dog named Muffin. She's amazing and terrfied. My friends and I decided to make her into a unicorn when she was visiting.

Neko then deciced to eat the paper towel and hump the poor old dog who has a bad back leg and could not escape. My mother had to keep getting him off her.

Neko in charlottes glasses.
