PromoModels.com is a unique modeling agency with a new business approach that sets them apart from the rest. One of the reasons I found Promo Models so interesting is it’s not a traditional agency. Promo Models is, in some ways like Model Mayhem. The thing that sets them apart however is Promo Models gets paid work for you. Promo Models is basically the next step from Model Mayhem, its where to go when you’ve gotten enough good shots for a portfolio and want to start making money off your hobby. Promo Models has representatives in most major U.S cities and has had huge major clients, from McDonalds, Redbull and Pepsi to Makeup brand Estee Lauder and the chic clothing house Diesel.
I found their most original feature to this online community to be their blog, a blog made specifically for models which offers advice and information on the entertainment industry. Thankfully I found it interesting to read, they didn’t offer the same “how to do make-up!” and pointless” how to look better tips” that would be found on most agency web sites. Their blog offers interesting reads on topics such as how Transgenders are finally making their way into the mainstream entertainment industry and the juicy details behind your favorite reality T.V shows like Shear Genius and Project Runway. Another thing that makes Promo Models such a good resource for the modeling is their glossary. Their Glossary pages consist of terms anyone entering the modeling industry would find useful, from Body Modeling to Test Boards this Glossary could guide anyone through the industry even some of the most experienced models could learn a thing or two from this helpful resource.
As an agency, promo models is a great place to start out your career. Promo Models does not charge any fee to sign up, you just have to provide your contact info with modeling stats and they contact you when job opportunities are available. Also by signing up for Promo Models you can delete your account at any time, breaking you from any ties with the site and company if you felt the need. Promo Models offers a numerous amount of jobs, mostly focusing on jobs that involve social interaction like trade shows and grand openings. Although the site may specialize in live events at the moment, Promo Models just added a commercial print and fashion modeling section that is growing by the day.

If I was located in the U.S I defiantly would sign up. I’m totally hoping that as they grow their company will branch out into Canada and other parts of the world. This site is defiantly going to be a huge hit though. The Modeling Industry has come a long way from just High Fashion, especially with the younger generation having such a DIY attitude. I really love how this agency is about giving everybody a fair chance, they’re not taking your money so what is it you have to loose? I am so sick! I've been in bed the last four days and now I'm havign asthma coughing attacks which are not fun! Anyways, I went to cheerleading last night even though I was basically dead. I almost killed somebody when I found out two girls quit. Seriously, what the HELL do I have to do to get these girls to actsually take this seriously and be commited?! ARGH!! Not to mention Mr.Marler my art teacher happened to see me while driving out and stared at me for 5 minuets becuase he though I skipped. Then I came home to facebook and found out someone I know is now finally going after their dreams. It made me kinda sad but I only wish them the best. But It still makes me terribly sad.
After random crying last night I stayed up watching random Korean Videos. Perez Hilton started posting some on his website, so what the hell. Then I started back with my Jpop videos and found myself listening to C-ute which is my favourite Jpop's band evil spawn. I've come to the conclusion there not that bad if you don't actusally have to listen to them. (Not according to my mother though, she just came in the room and stated that I was listening to the worlds most annoying song)
Anyways, I better get back to doing nothing.

Yesterday as you know by my other blogs was cheerleading tryouts. I was terrified. I woke up during the day and all my best friends totally ditched out on me. So i was freaking. THEN, one of my best friends whos suppossed be running it with me didnt show up! So I'm pissed and worried at this point but i suck it up and try and see how tryouts are going to go and if anyone will even show up. Then, wtf. Friggen 50 people showed up. It sucked becuase they were all small too. (flyer dreams down the drain? Better not be..). We had to break the tryouts into three sections. I judged one and the two teachers judeged the other. Sadly, they have no cheer experience and rated people on entuisam. I didnt really have any power deciding who made the sqaud so we might be screwed. I'm terrified to see who made, I honestly haven't slept. My biggest problem is my friend who didn't show up was the girl who I was reling to help teach with me becuase she knows what she's doing alot better then I do.

Okay so today I came across the best facebook application ever Babble.
Babble is amazing, it lets you take facebook photos from your account and write speech bubbles on you and your friend while tagging them in the process. All you do is click on a speech bubble and type whatever you feel the person in the photo should be saying. It's an amazing way to kill time and make your friends laugh!! I liked Babble more then other programs that can do speech bubbles because it's easier to do photos quickly, you dont have to go through tons of settings to find or edit them. Another bonus is everybody on your facebook can see them so you don't have to send links or upload them anywhere after your photos are done.

Overall i do like them, I just think the skirts are too long on all the pictures. If that's what they look like on a model wont they be like dresses on a lot of people?
I was walking down the hallways, on my way to class this morning. Something however did not feel right. I kept walking trying to figure out what it was. Then I realized it! I forgot to wear a bra! I literally stopped in the middle of the hall and started laughing at myself. Everyone around me obviously thought I was phyco ( I mean I am but I try to hide it to the best of my ability).
Anyways. The first day of school was the big, scary day I would find out if we had cheerleading. I was crazy all day in anticipation. Finally, when the school bell rang I ran to the third floor and begged Mr. Biss to let me do it and he said yes!
That of course has shot me into a world where I'm living, breathing, cheering and dying of sore musceles. Not only do I have to now teach a squad but I have to teach myself too! It's hard when I haven't cheered for a few months man! Arghhh. The biggest problem is most people are too scared to join becuase either, a. they think they don't fit the cheerleading sterotype (and please, its not like I do!) and b. there scared of looking stupid. Tryouts however are tomorrow and I am TERRIFIED of what and who will turn up if anyone!
So I've been posting online for coaches, reading up on cheer moves, trying to stretch, begging people to join and looked at uniforms for eight hours last night. EIGHT.
Anyways, enough about cheer. The real cheer hell will start tomorrow.
The weekend was fun, I went back to Burlington with one of my best friends Marie and we went to Mel's house. Mel's parents are crazy to leave her alone. They threw a party the night before so when we went everyone was pretty chill. It didn't however, stop me and sarah from running around outside like idiots or keep me and Marie from blabbling our random nonscense to each other.
The classes I have this semester are pretty slack, I have yearbook/photography, anthroplogy,
math and com tech which is making vidoes. Math however seems to already be killing me and anthro seems like alot of work. I love com-tech becuase Maries in it and I have my favourite teacher Mr. Marler!
Besides my boy break downs I guess thats really it.
So please, I ask you to send me luck tomorrow as I will really, really need it.

My first day of school, it's a terrible picture but i thought it was very Blair Woldorf and that I had to show you! I made the headband myself and it turned out awsome! I'm so proud. The day after I wore this Mr.Marler asked if he could take a picture of me to show his daughters how weird some people at his school dress. I feel insulted yet kinda cool, LOL!.
